EDI Transaction Guidelines for UDI and HIN Now Available
The Learning UDI Community (LUC), in collaboration with HIBCC, created new guidelines for utilizing UDIs and Health Industry Numbers (HINs)/location identifiers in Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) transactions. The published documents aim to improve transactional efficiency and include an EDI Mapping Guide, an EDI Best Practices Report, and a Global UDI Database (GUDID) Best Practices Report.
