HIN Distribution Available Online on Monday, 08/15/2011

In September 2009, HIBCC updated iHIN to include the option for subscribers to download weekly incremental HIN update files as well as periodic distribution files. In the past, periodic distribution files were mailed to HIN subscribers on a CD in either tab-delimited or fixed-width text file formats.

This new system has streamlined the HIN distribution process by eliminating any delays associated with preparing mailings and burnings CDs.

On Monday, August 15, 2011, a new set of HIN distribution files will be available online at 3:00 PM (Eastern Standard Time). To download the periodic HIN distribution from iHIN, please follow the steps below:

1) Access iHIN at http://www.hibcchin.org.

2) Enter and submit your subscriber username and password.

3) Once logged in, click the “Download” button at the top of the window.

4) You will be redirected to the download page, where you will have access to the HIN distribution page and will be able to access and download all subsets to which you have subscribed.

5) You will have the option to download in either tab-delimited or fixed-width text file formats.
